When I was 17, I was a Rotary Club exchange student and lived in Brazil from 1999 to 2000. It was one of the happiest and most challenging times in my life. I ate amazing food, met crazy smart and fun people from all over the world. On rainy overcast days like today, I still think of Brazil’s beautiful, postcard ready beaches, drinking agua de coco and eating fresh seafood while listening to animated conversations in melodic Brazilian Portuguese.
